ThesE Electronics V Kickisa highly versatile, supercardioid dynamic microphone specifically designed for kick drums, floor toms, and bass cabinets. It is known for its compact footprint and unique dual-switch voicing system that provides four distinct sound profiles.
Key Performance Features
Four Switchable Voicings: Two recessed switches on the rear allow you to shape the tone without external EQ:
Left Switch (Overall Voicing): "Classic" offers a traditional, warm punch, while "Modern" provides a "scooped" sound with emphasized lows and highs.
Right Switch (High-Frequency): "Classic" adds a mid-range bite for presence, while "Modern" delivers an open, transient-rich top end.
Compact "Drum-Friendly" Design: It is among the most compact kick mics available, featuring an integrated swivel joint and parallel stand mount/XLR connector. This setup allows it to fit easily through drum head ports and keeps cable clutter to a minimum.
Specialized Capsule: The DMC7 SB capsule uses a lightweight aluminum voice coil (rather than copper) for faster transient response and clearer low-end punch.
